The Orthodox Africa spiritual and educational festival took place in Tanzania. The organizer was the Russian House in Dar es Salaam.

Representatives of various religions gathered at its site. They discussed how the peaceful coexistence of religions, religious tolerance and support from the state make it possible to preserve different religious systems in the country, prevent the formation of false values and prevent spiritual intolerance.

The opening of an exhibition of Orthodox icons was timed to coincide with the forum. The guests also watched Tsar by Russian director Pavel Lungin.

The guests and organizers were congratulated on the opening of the festival by Russian Ambassador Andrei Avetisyan. The Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Leonid, and Metropolitan Vikenty of Tashkent and Uzbekistan delivered a video greeting.
