Musicians from 20 countries joined World Youth Symphony Orchestra

The best young musicians from 20 countries have joined the World Youth Symphony Orchestra, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports. The new creative team performed at the closing of the Youth Orchestra Festival. The concert took place on August, 20. The musicians performed on stage in Zaryadye Park, and maestro Yuri Bashmet, the inspirer and initiator of the festival, took his place at the conductor's stand. The famous musician leads the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra.

The World Youth Orchestra performed Kuzma Bodrov's Guide to the Orchestra, as well as Sergei Prokofiev's symphonic fairy tale Peter and the Wolf. Konstantin Khabensky acted as the reader.

The festival is one of the key events that make up the program of the Year of the Teacher and Mentor. Young musicians from 18 countries became participants of the large-scale cultural forum. The Grand Amphitheater of Zaryadye Park turned into a festival venue, the concerts were available for free. Musicians from China, South Korea, Algeria, Uzbekistan, Chile, the United Arab Emirates, Israel, Serbia and other countries took the stage.

The organizers have no doubt that the festival will continue. They have already asked the participants to perform next year. Yuri Bashmet is sure that the history of this musical movement is just beginning.
