The World Festival of Youth Orchestras starts in Moscow, the Russian Ministry of Culture reports. It is one of the key events that make up the program of the Year of the Teacher and Mentor.

Yuri Bashmet came up with the idea of holding the festival. The famous musician leads the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Young musicians from 18 countries became participants of the large-scale cultural forum. The Grand Amphitheater of Zaryadye Park will turn into a festival venue, and concerts will be available for free. Musicians from China, South Korea, Algeria, Uzbekistan, Chile, the United Arab Emirates, Israel, Serbia and other countries will take the stage.

The final point of the festival will be the performance of the World Youth Symphony Orchestra, which will bring together participants from different countries. It is scheduled for August, 20.
