A Russian cemetery in Kazakhstan was attacked by vandals, according to the telegram channel Readovka.

In the Aktobe region, it was discovered that unknown attackers broke the monuments installed on the graves, split the tombstones, raked torn wreaths into heaps, pulled out crosses from the ground and scattered them around. Burials with Russian surnames on them became the target of the attackers.

Local law enforcement agencies have already opened a criminal case and launched an investigation. According to the preliminary version, the motive for the crime was religious or national intolerance.

In the spring, the Russian cemetery was damaged in the suburbs of the Azerbaijani capital. It was attacked by a worker, enraged by the non-payment of wages. He damaged monuments, tombstones and slabs. The culprit was arrested. The worker was charged under the "desecration of the grave" article.

Dozens of tombstones with Russian surnames suffered from vandalism. The Russian community of Azerbaijan condemned the incident, calling it outrageous. The authorities of Azerbaijan immediately took up the restoration of the graves, taking the issue under special control.
