Russian schoolchildren won five medals at International Olympiad in Economics

Russian schoolchildren won five medals at the International Olympiad in Economics. The competition was organized by Greece, representatives of 48 countries took part in them. The Russian team performed tasks remotely, the Olimpiada.ru website reports.

The Olympiad was held for the 6th time, English-speaking school students aged 16 to 18 took part in it. In the first round, the participants had to choose the optimal investment strategy in a financial simulator, in the second round they solved economic problems, in the third round they studied the financing of social projects, developed a strategy for creating public space and new campuses for the university.

Russia was represented by school students from Moscow, not a single member of the team was left without an award. The gold medal was won by Ivan Delosari, the silver was awarded to Darya Golubeva, Ekaterina Leksina and Alexander Shilin, the bronze medal went to Anna Mastinen.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin congratulated the children and their mentors on their successful performance at the Olympiad.

As Russkiy Mir reported, four medals were brought by Russian schoolchildren from the International Olympiad in Linguistics, which was held in Bulgaria. The Olympics took place for the twentieth time, teams from more than thirty countries participated in it. Representatives of Russia showed the highest average score of the participants.
