Russian students win four medals at International Chemistry Olympiad

Russian schoolchildren won four medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad, the Russian Ministry of Education reports. The tournament was hosted by Zurich, it has been held for more than 50 years. Students of Russian schools participated in it offline. They won three gold and won silver medal.

The competition consisted of two rounds, theoretical and practical. 

Head of department Sergey Kravtsov congratulated the schoolchildren and their mentors with the awards. The Minister stressed that the teachers who interested their students in chemistry live in different regions of the country.

Among the gold winners are Nikita Perov from Kazan, Sergey Roslyakov from Moscow and Vadim Kharisov from Ufa. This is not their first achievement. Previously, they won gold at the Mendeleev Olympiad in Chemistry, which was held in Astana.

Silver was won by Alexei Mikheev from the Altai Territory.
