The International Festival Marathon has been presented in Brazil, TASS reports. The presentation was organized by Andrey Klimov, a member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation. According to him, this year the project expanded for the first time to the western hemisphere, including South America.

The first project took place almost ten years ago, in 2014. It is being implemented with the assistance of both chambers of the Russian parliament, the Russian Foreign Ministry, Rossotrudnichestvo, the Ministry of Culture, representatives of the United Russia party and foreign partners.

Russian parliamentarians are planning to discuss with foreign colleagues the development of BRICS civil diplomacy institutions. Questions of counteracting the spread of new forms of Western colonial policy will will be of particular importance during the discussion.
