The Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra is expected in China, TASS reports. The musical team led by Vladimir Fedoseyev will perform for the Chinese public in early autumn.

According to the head of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova, the tour will begin on September, 12. It will last until the end of the month. The tour route is laid through the cities of Jiading, Hangzhou, Qingdao, Xi'an, Chengdu, Chongqing, Taiyuan, Tianjin. The concert program includes all the symphonies of Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

The minister noted that the Chinese public warmly welcomes the performances of Russian musicians and is looking forward to their return.

Earlier, the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra concert took place on June, 22 at the Great Wall of China.  The stage was set against the backdrop of Badaling, a mountain range where the wall's section closest to Beijing is built.

Despite the heat, the concert was attended by about 1,000 people.
