About 1,5 million people have received Russian citizenship in new regions since October, 2022, TASS reports. According to the head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, it is very important that all residents of the new regions feel the ongoing changes in practice.

Mishustin is sure that people should see that changes are constantly taking place around, that the housing, civil infrastructure facilities are being restored, and there is an opportunity for education and professional activities.

The prime minister is confident that this cannot be achieved without the coordinated work of teams at all levels of government. Only in this case it will be possible to achieve the intended goals.

Earlier, the Russian covernment approved a long-term program for the social and economic development of new regions of Russia. According to Prime Minister, the authorities plan to restart the activities of key industries and enterprises. Production assets will also be restored. All this will create conditions for further growth and improvement of the well-being of the inhabitants of the region, the head of government specified.

He added that it will be necessary to form the healthcare system, the educational sphere, the system of social protection, culture and sports almost from scratch.
