Russian schoolchildren won 8 gold medals at Asian Physics Olympiad

Russian schoolchildren won eight gold medals at the APhO Asian Physics Olympiad, which was held in Mongolia for the 23rd time. The competition was attended by 240 students who represented over 30 Asian countries,  the website of the Ministry of Education of Russia reports.

Students from Moscow and the Moscow region won the gold medals of the competition. The major part of the Russian team members study at Kapitsa Phystech-Lyceum from the Moscow Region. A special prize for the best result of the experimental tour was awarded to Yegor Potapov from the Moscow school of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence.

Prior to the trip to Mongolia, the team underwent complex training at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. At the Olympiad, participants performed theoretical and practical tasks. Last year, the Russian team brought eight awards from the competition, including three gold medals.
