Festival of Russian culture took place in the northeastern Chinese province of Liaoning, TASS reports. It was organized by the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Shenyang and the Society for Friendship with Foreign Countries of Liaoning Province.

The head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Shenyang, Sergei Chernenko, is sure that the large-scale event would become an additional incentive for the development of ties in the cultural and humanitarian spheres between the Russian regions and Liaoning province. The diplomat recalled that this is in line with the trend that can be traced in bilateral relations, and fully meets the request of the Russian and Chinese peoples.

The Consul General noted that even during the period of COVID-19 restrictions, cultural exchanges between Russia and China did not stop and continued online.
