Russian-Indian Film Club created in New Delhi

The Russian-Indian Film Club has started working in New Delhi, TASS reports. It opened in the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo. According to the head of the Russian House, Oleg Osipov, it is planned that its meetings will be held at least once a month.

The film club received the working title "From the Volga to the Ganges". It will allow Russian compatriots and local residents to get to know Russian cinema better. And thanks to this, they learn more about Russian culture and traditions.

The program of the film club will include documentaries, features and animated films.

The opening film of the cinema club was "The Sun". Its creators Maxim Brius and Mikhail Wasserbaum spoke about the events that took place in the LPR in 2014. Among the audience were Indian public figures, representatives of the film industry, students studying the Russian language. The film has been translated into English.
