An exhibition about the life and work of Sergei Eisenstein has opened in Sao Paulo, Brazil, TASS reports. The exposition is located in the FIESP cultural center, it opened the day before, on April, 4, and will run for two months.

The exhibition is dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Eisenstein, the outstanding Russian and world cinematographer.

The production company Ars et Vita acted as the organizer. Its head Maria Vragova noted that the exposition will acquaint the local public with all aspects of the director's versatile talent. She compared Sergei Eisenstein to a renaissance man who manifested himself in different aspects, influenced different areas and continues to influence contemporary art.

This is the first time such a project has been implemented in Latin American countries. The organizers believe that it will become an additional insentive for the development of interest in Russian culture and the Russian language.
