Books about Russian scouts abroad to be presented in Australia

A presentation of three new books on the history of the Russian scouting movement in Australia and other countries will take place on May, 21 at the Russian Club in Sydney. The collected funds will be handed over to the National Organization of Russian Scouts (NORS), which develops the scouting movement for the children of Russian compatriots in Australia, the Edinenie newspaper reports. 

The Scouts of the Russian Diaspora by Pavel Shakhmatov tells about the history of the Russian scout movement for more than 100 years. The author used materials from France, the countries of North and South America, as well as Australia.

Two other books are entitled "History of NORS in photographs". Their author is the head of the Australian department of the organization, who has given more than 60 years to the scouting movement, Mikhail Shakhmatov.

The books contain interesting information and colorful pictures that tell about the development of the Russian Scout movement in different years. It is noted that the scouting movement played an important role in shaping the personality of the participants, made it possible to find friends.
