The Battle of Stalingrad exhibition is open in Paris. It is prepared for the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet army in one of the main battles of the Great Patriotic and the 2nd World War. The exhibits brought from Volgograd will be on display until mid-March at the Russian House of Science and Culture, the telegram channel of the Russian center reports.

The exposition includes items from the collection of the Heritage private military historical museum from Volgograd, as well as historical photographs showing the life of Stalingrad before, during and after the battle. The exhibition also tells about Soviet female pilots who fought against the Nazis as part of the Red Army.

Among the exhibits are various samples of the military uniform of Soviet soldiers during the Great Patriotic War. Visitors can order a tour in Russian and French.

Events dedicated to the anniversary of the end of the Battle of Stalingrad are held in many countries. In Sri Lanka, an exhibition of photographs of Stalingrad during the war years, the defenders of the city and the views of today's Volgograd began to work.
