More than 100 Russian athletes will take part in the Russian-Chinese Winter Youth Games, TASS reports. The tournament starts in Changchun, China in a week. The grand opening ceremony is scheduled for December, 16.

The members of the Russian team are training at the Novogorsk training base. The Ministry of Sports recalled the strict pandemic-related restrictions are in effect in China. Therefore, athletes will remain in quarantine and take PCR tests.

The Russian delegation includes about 150 people. About 30 coaches will join the athletes.

The program of the Cross Years of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports in 2022 and 2023 will include about 450 events. The Cross Years of Physical Culture and Sports are organized by order of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, signed in October.
