The tour of the Boris Eifman Ballet Theater begins in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), TASS reports. The Petersburg Theater brought to Dubai its new production of The Pygmalion Effect. Local admirers of the choreography will see it on Monday, November 7, and the next day.

The choreographer himself believes that the production will allow the audience to strengthen self-confidence. According to Boris Eifman, the performance contains a huge charge of faith in the best. He added that this familiar plot has an unexpected philosophical meaning, which is indicated by the name of the ballet.

The theater comes to Dubai for the second time, a year ago the "Anna Karenina" ballet was warmly received here. Boris Eifman is surethat all steps aimed at isolating and abolishing Russian culture will be in vain. He is convinced that we need to keep in touch with the world so that our art can be seen in other countries.

For the first time in many years, the Eifman Theater's foreign tour was produced not by a Western specialist, but by the Russian composer and music producer Viktor Drobysh, a longtime admirer of this group and its leader.

A month ago, the Eifman Theater performed in Armenia. The creative team brought from St. Petersburg the production of "Rodin, her Eternal Idol." The ballet was included in the program of the High Fest International Festival of Performing Arts. The production is based on a sad love story between the great sculptor Auguste Rodin and his student Camille Claudel.

In autumn, the theater also performed in Israel.
