Marina Tsvetaeva's 130th birthday celebrated in Sofia

Russian compatriots living in Bulgaria celebrated the 130th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Russian poetess Marina Tsvetaeva. In honor of her anniversary, a literary and musical soiree was held, the Moscow House of Compatriot reports on its telegram channel.

The event was organized by the"Vstrecha" and "Aurora-2013" clubs with the support of the Russian House in Sofia. Russian compatriots and experts in Russian literature discussed the biography and work of Marina Tsvetaeva, read her works and sang songs on the verses of her poems.

Events dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Marina Tsvetaeva are held in different countries. A reader's contest was held in the Russian House in Ulaanbaatar. About 80 Mongolian schoolchildren reached its final.

The jury noted not only the artistry of the finalists, but also the good knowledge of the Russian language and the pronunciation of the participants.
