The masterpieces by the Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky returned home, RIA Novosti reports. The works of one of the founders of the Russian avant-garde were presented at an exhibition in Italy. According to the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova, almost 50 works of fine art from Russia were presented at Rovigo, Italy. The exhibition entitled "Wasily Kandinsky - from Figurative Art to Abstract" was located in the Palazzo Roverella.

The paintings were provided by the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Pushkin Museum, as well as museums from the Russian regions.

Russkiy Mir reported that the Moscow Kremlin Museums decided to suspend exhibitions in Europe until sanctions were lifted. The State Hermitage Museum announced the introduction of a one-year moratorium on exhibitions in the US and Europe, due to the aggravation of the geopolitical situation. The Ministry of Culture suspended the temporary export of museum items from Russia to foreign exhibitions. It is expected that exhibition cooperation with friendly countries will be restored next year.
