The Russian "Eight Angry Women" series by Alexander Sukharev will compete for awards within the program of the Italian Tuscany Web Fest. The results will be announced on July 9, RIA Novosti reports.

The main characters of the multi-part film are eight women of different ages, character and social status. They visit a beauty salon, and talk to the personnel about their problems and ups and downs in life, and confess the most intimate.

The series was filmed using the verbatim technique, when the stories of existing people are played by actors. The creators of the project are convinced that this technique helps to truly touch the audience, who sees real situations on the screen.

Attempts to abolish Russian culture do not prevent Russian film and television projects from being successfully screened abroad and winning international awards. In June, the Russian TV series ''No, You're stupid!,'' which tells about two sisters with different personalities, won the main award of the die Seriale web series festival in Germany.
