The huge success of  ''The Morozov Collection. Icons of Contemporary Art" exhibition in France becamr another proof of the impossibility of "cancellation of Russian culture," says Olga Lyubimova, who heads the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. She spoke about this at the opening of the ''Brother Ivan. Collection of Mikhail and Ivan Morozov" exhibition on the eve of June 27, RIA Novosti reports.

The exposition was prepared by the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. It includes paintings from the collection of the Morozov brothers. Previously, they were presented at an exhibition in Paris held by the Louis Vuitton Foundation. The Pushkin Museum provided sent almost 70 masterpieces of fine art from its collection to Paris.

The exposition became one of the most popular in France over the 50 years. According to Marina Loshak, director of the Pushkin Museum, the number of visitors has exceeded 1.3 million people. ''There have never been such figures in the history of exhibition practice anywhere,'' she assured.

According to the organizers, the exhibition can be called a union of different parts of Ivan Morozov's collection. Some are now kept in St. Petersburg museums, some in Moscow. It is the only time they are exhibited together.

The exposition does not completely repeat the exhibition in Paris. There are 30 works by Russian artists and ten by French, which have not been seen in France. The condition of some masterpieces does not allow them to be taken out of the museum. A number of works are presented to the audience for the first time.
