"I, Che Guevara. A story Told in the First Person'' directed by Vyacheslav Krasko has won the Best Foreign Language Documentary of the Chinese Academy of Documentary Film Award. It was the first time when the prestigious award in this category went to a Russian film.

The Academy established the award 11 years ago. More than 1,200 applications from 600 film companies were submitted to the competition.  Siz Russian films presented by the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio were selected for the final.

Grigory Ilugdin’s film ''While We are Alive, We Will Live'', which tells about people who survived the coronavirus and doctors who worked during the most difficult periods of the beginning of the pandemic, was highly appreciated by Chinese film academics.

Boris Dvorkin's "Icy Clouds", dedicated to the famous polar pilot, Hero of the Soviet Union Anatoly Alekseev, and Anna Kolodezneva's ''Russian Gardariki'' about the history of the excavations of Kostenka in the Voronezh region were among the finalists.

Sergei Debizhev's ''Heavenly Crimea'', which acquaints viewers with the history and beauties of the peninsula, was nominated for a prize in the Best Editing category.
