All Russian participants became winners at the European GirlsMathematical Olympiad (EGMO-2022), RT reports.

The tournament was held for the 11th time, and took place online. Hungary was the organizer. Young Petersburgers Alisa Volkova and Taisiya Korotchenko, as well as residents of Kazan Galia Sharafetdinova and Ralina Yusupova won in the individual category. The Russian team scored 160 points out of a possible 168.

All winners are candidates for participation in the International Olympiad for Schoolchildren in Mathematics. The competition is scheduled for July and will be hosted by Norway.

In 2021, students of Russian schools won 38 medals at international olympiads. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin called this achievement an absolute success for Russian schoolchildren. They were among the leaders in tournaments in astronomy, geography, biology, computer science, physics, mathematics, and astrophysics.
