Students from Russia, Asia and Africa participate in International Mathematical Olympiad

143 students from Russia, China and a number of African countries became participants in the International Mathematical Olympiad, organized by the Amur State University (AmSU,) the website of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.

The top five participants who showed the best results included students from Russia and China. Aleksey Khmelev, a student of AmSU, became second, and Andrey Derevyagin from the Far Eastern Federal University was the third.

The participants of the Olympiad were offered to solve ten mathematical problems in four hours. The judges evaluated the originality of the solution.
