The return of the collections of Russian museums exhibited abroad is a priority of the Russian Ministry of Culture, the head of the department, Olga Lyubimova, said. According to her, the Russian diplomats are involved in resolving the issue, RIA Novosti reports.

At the moment, there are logistical issues in transporting the collections home.

Among the collections awaiting return to Russia, the Minister of Culture named the Morozov collection, located in Paris. It unites the collections of three leading museums in Russia - the Hermitage, the Tretyakov Gallery and the Pushkin Museum.

The exhibition was on display until the 22nd of February and was extended until the 3rd of April due to the great interest of visitors. Lyubimova stressed that "none of the parties violated their obligations", and at present the work is going on according to the plan.
