Russian cinema discussed at exhibition in Spain

The presentation of the 8th Russian Film Festival took place at the FITUR international tourism exhibition in Madrid. Spanish audiences will watch new Russian films on July 14-17 at the Municipal Theater of Torrevieja, according to the Spanish city's website.

The presentation was held by Torrevieja Mayor Eduardo Dolon, City Councilor for Tourism Rosario Martinez and festival director Anna Semyonova. According to her, the organizers have noted that the number of Spaniards who are interested in Russian culture and Russia is growing each year.

The festival is planned to be held offline, a grand opening with a red carpet is scheduled for July 14. The screenings will take place on July 15 and 16, the program of the final festival day includes an awards ceremony and gala concerts.

The films will be screened in Russian with Spanish and English subtitles. Spanish masters of cinema were part of the jury.
