Several films by Russian directors have been included in the program of the DocPoint Finnish Documentary Film Festival. The documentaries tell about the Moscow metro and life in the Russian outback, Yle.fi reports.

The Russian theme will be one of the central ones at the upcoming festival. A number of films tell about modern Russia and the former republics of the USSR, while others recall the Soviet past.

The festival program included Ruslan Fedotov's "Where Are We Headed." Its main characters are the passengers of the Moscow metro. Viewers can observe the daily life of the metro, as well as listen to the opinions of Muscovites about religion and the Russian soul. The film has previously been highly acclaimed at international film festivals.

Yulia Sergina's ''Far Eastern Golgotha'' reflects the life of a taxi driver in the Russian outback. "The Life of Ivanna Yaptune", shot by the Guatemalan director Renato Borraio Serrano, tells about a Nenets single mother living in the tundra.

The festival will be held online.
