Russian emigrants living in the Netherlands celebrated Dostoevsky's 200th anniversary with a festival, which took place in the Hague. The event took place at the De Vaillant Theater. The organizer was the Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots in the Netherlands with the assistance of the Moscow authorities and the Moscow House of Compatriots.

Both adults and children took part in the festival. They discussed Dostoevsky's works, answered the questions of the quiz. Participants of theatrical studios read excerpts from performances based on the writer's works.

The festival ended with a tea party.
