Results of Dostoevsky literature marathon summed up in Peru

The results of the "Dostoevsky-200 in Peru" literary marathon have been summed up in Lima, the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry reports. The award ceremony took place on New Year's Eve at the Russian Embassy.

The Embassy of the Russian Federation and the Philharmonic Peruvian radio organized the matathon. The action was timed to coincide with the 200th anniversary of the writer.

The participants of the marathon published over 30 audio recordings and videos on social networks, in which they quoted and recited excerpts from Dostoevsky's works. Their performances were evaluated by  Russian diplomats, representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo in Lima, and the school at the embassy.

M. Mansurova Sepan won the competition. She read an excerpt from "The Brothers Karamazov" novel, which brought her a commemorative silver coin "Writer F.M. Dostoevsky, on the 200th anniversary of his birth." The coin was issued in St. Petersburg in a limited edition, it became part of the "Outstanding Personalities of Russia" series.
