Japanese space tourists studied the Russian language while preparing for the flight, TASS reports. On Wednesday, December 8, billionaire Yusaku Maezawa and his assistant Yozo Hirano will go into orbit on the Soyuz MS-20 manned spacecraft.

Cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin, who will lead the crew, said that he, in his turn, began to learn Japanese. He hopes that language lessons can be extended during their stay at the International Space Station and even after returning from space. The flight will last for 12 days.

Earlier,  Roscosmos promised assistance to Tunisia in preparing for the flight into orbit of a woman astronaut. The first female astronaut from the Muslim country, Nura al-Matrushi, is about to learn Russian. She was selected to the United Arab Emirates astronaut team.
