Russians and Americans share gold at Short Course Swimming World Championships

The men's teams of Russia and the United States have crossed the finish line at the same time in the combined 4x50m relay at the World Short Course Championships in Abu Dhabi. The athletes from both teams became world champions, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.

The bronze went to the Italian team .The Russians and Americans spent a little more than 1,5 minutes on the distance. Kliment Kolesnikov, Kirill Strelnikov, Andrey Minakov and Vladimir Morozov received gold medals. Two of them, namely Kolesnikov and Minakov, previously showed the best time in another relay race (4 x 100 meters), which took place on the first day of the championship.

This is the third medal at the World Championships in the United Arab Emirates for Kolesnikov. Previously, the swimmer won one of the highest awards in the individual competition in the 100-meter complex swimming. The athlete won the first two gold medals in one day.
