Russia and Greece to promote Russian language learning

Russia and Greece are going to promote the study of Russian and Greek languages. The corresponding decision was included in the joint action plan for the next three years, adopted after a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, TASS reports.

According to document, the study of Russian and Greek languages ​​in educational institutions of the two states will be state-supported. The countries intend to conduct tests in the Russian language in Greece and on the knowledge of the New Greek language in Russia. State certificates of the level of language proficiency will be mutually recognized. 

During the meeting, the heads of the states also agreed to develop cooperation in the educational, scientific, tourism, economic and other spheres.
