Russian guitarist gets 2nd place of Frauchi competition

The results of the 7th Frauchi International Competition, the international contest of guitarists, have been summed up in Moscow,  TASS reports.

Ukrainian musician Mark Topchy became the laureate of the competition. The second prize went to the Russian Vera Danilina, the third - to the Italian musician Domenico Savio Mottola.

The diplomas were awarded to Georgi Dimitrov from Bulgaria and Sergey Perelekhov from Russia.

This year, the total value of the prizes exceeds 35,000 euros. The winner also got a guitar made by one of the most renowned luthiers in the world - Japanese Yuichi Imai.
 
The guitar competition was held  from September 1, to November 13, 2021. In total, 17 musicians from ten countries gathered in Moscow for the finale. The organizers received applications from more than 10 countries. The jury selected the participants for the final round using video recordings.
