Russia donates 2018 World Cup symbols to French museum

The souvenirs with The 2018 FIFA World Cup symbols were sent to the National Museum of Sports of France. In 2018, the championship was hosted by Russia, the French national team became the winners, Russian Eyewitness writes.

The victory in 2018 became the second in history for France. The country won the world championship for the first time in 1998.

The representative of the museum, Helene Barbiero, wrote a letter to the Russian Embassy, ​​asked for items decorated with the championship symbols.

Russian Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin personally brought the souvenirs to France. He proposed to develop bilateral cooperation between sports museums of the two countries. Matytsin recalled that Russia also has a sports museum, which will soon celebrate its 65th anniversary.
