The demand for the Russian Sputnik V vaccine is very high in Bolivia, TASS reports. According to Bolivian Foreign Minister Rogelio Maita, Bolivians chose this particular vaccine even though other drugs are avialable in the country. He said this during negotiations with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.

Maita is sure that the pandemic once again proved the truth of the popular saying. ''Шn need one sees who his friend is,'' he recalled. Russia was the first country to negociate vaccine supplies. Huge queues lined up when it became known about the vaccination with the Russian drug.

Bolivian President Lucho Arce was vaccinated against coronavirus with the Russian Sputnik V vaccine at the end of May. He urged Bolivians to get vaccinated. The country was able to start vaccinations at the end of January thanks to the Russian drug.
