Russian Cinema Week takes place in Istanbul

Russian Cinema Week began in Istanbul on Tuesday, August 24, according to the Russian Consulate General on Facebook. It is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.

Viewers are invited to the Jaddebostan cultural center, located in the Kadikoy district. The event is supported by the Mosfilm cinema concert, the Kadikoy District Administration and the Russian Consulate General in Istanbul.

The audience will be able to see the classics of Soviet cinema from the Mosfilm collection, dedicated to the military theme. The program includes the following films: "The Fate of a Man", "Come and See", "The Cranes Are Flying", "Star", "The Ballad of a Soldier", "White Tiger", "They Fought for the Motherland." The films will be shown in Russian with Turkish subtitles.

Entrance for everyone is free, tickets must be downloaded in advance on the website.
