20th anniversary of the treaty of friendship with Russia project launched in China

The 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation between China and Russia project was launched in China, World Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots (VKSRS) reports. It is being broadcasted by CGTN RUSSIAN Chinese International TV Channel.

About two dozen 5-minute videos to be filmed within its framework. Each of them to have a special  person that represents interaction of the two countries.

The central figure of the first issue was Galina Kulikova, the deputy chairman of the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society. The second video is dedicated to the head of the All-Russian Union of Artists Mikhail Drozdov.

As Russkiy Mir reported earlier, on June 28, the leaders of the two countries officially announced the extension of the bilateral treaty on good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation. The agreement to be valid for the next five years. The document was signed twenty years ago by the heads of two states, Vladimir Putin and Jiang Zeming. Vladimir Putin stressed that the two countries managed to bring relations "to unprecedented heights," they can serve as an image of interstate interaction in the 21st century.
