The Russian-made police robot Promobot has successfully finished its probation year in Abu Dhabi, RIA Novosti reports, citing a representative of the Promobot company. After the end of the probationary period,  the local police department officially added the robot to the list of employees and decided to use robot in other police departments as well.

Promobot began work in the capital of the UAE in June 2020. It patrolled the streets, watched employees and visitors of police facilities, measured the temperature of citizens, and helped in law enforcement.

Promobot speaks English and Arabic,  and can recognize faces - it helps to find wanted criminals. The obstacle sensors allows the device to move freely indoors and outdoors.

The robot helps to free employees from routine work and limit interpersonal contacts during the spread of the coronavirus. At the same time, it does not get tired, is always polite with visitors, arrives to work on time and does not make mistakes related to the "human factor".

Now the robot is planned to be used in police departments located in Dubai, the emirates of Ajman and Sharjah.

The developments created by the Perm company Promobot are successfully applied in other regions and industries - in a large shopping center in Dubai, the National Bank of Oman, schools in Saudi Arabia, and medical institutions in Kuwait.
