Studies conducted by specialists from the Argentine Ministry of Health have confirmed the safety of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine, RIA Novosti reports.

The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) explained that, according to new data, cases of serious adverse events that led to hospitalization are very rare. There are only 0.0027% of them.

The Argentine Ministry of Health noted that about seven million doses were administered in total. After administration, mild reactions were observed in 0.5% of cases. The most common cases were headache and pain in muscles and joints (15 278 cases), as well as fever with headache and pain in muscles and joints (14 397 cases).

A study of the Russian vaccine in Argentina was launched by the Ministry of Health of the province of Buenos Aires, the largest in the country, right after the start of a massive vaccination campaign late last year. It lasted until June. During this period, the Argentines received 2.8 million doses of Sputnik V, as well as more than two million doses of vaccines from other countries.

The Russian vaccine showed the smallest number of severe reactions to the use of the drug, the authors of the study did not record a single death among those vaccinated with Sputnik V. Experts stated that the Russian vaccine showed a low number of complex reactions to the drug and a high level of safety.
