This year the number of participants approached 500 people, they represented 70 countries. The competition is held online for the second consecutive year because of the pandemic.

The winners were determined in two age categories. Participants under the age of 14 competed in the Pushkin for Children nomination. Participants over 14 years old took part in the I Read Pushkin nomination. They read Pushkin's poems, performed romance songs or staged fragments of the poet's works, made videos and sent them to the jury.

This year, more than 60 people were named winners in the senior category. High school seniors and students received diplomas. In the junior age category, more than 80 people were awarded.

The jury considered over 100 works out of competition. The videos were sent by RSL teachers, as well as Russian native speakers.
