The ''Hermitage. Shot with iPhone'' film, created by Timur Bekmambetov's studio Bazelevs, is fighting for victory in the Cannes Lions international advertising festival. It is presented in the Online Film, Viral Film and Culture and Context categories, TASS reports.

The five-hour video, directed by Aksinya Gog, was filmed within the walls of the Hermitage in one take. At the same time, the creation of the film required the work of more than 100 specialists. During the filming, the team went through 45 halls of the Hermitage, having shot nearly 600 exhibits.

This is the first time Timur Bekmambetov's work gets a nomination at the Cannes Lions.

Last year, the Hermitage topped the list of Russian museums in the media rating.
