Exhibition of rare Marc Chagall's works opens in Finland

Graphic works of the outstanding artist Marc Chagall were included in the exhibition, which opened in Sastamala (Finland). Until mid-August, visitors will be able to see works by Chagall, which were rarely exhibited in public, and works that first became public, according to Yle.fi.

The paintings of the Russian artist, who have become one of the symbols of the world fine art of the 20th century, are exhibited in a local gallery on the walls of a stone barn. The collection includes over 160 works created by the master in the period from 1928 to 1984.

The artist used different techniques, including graphics. He has illustrated over 100 books. Over the years, Marc Chagall lived in the Russian Empire, France and other European countries, the USA.

Marc Chagall's exhibitions are successfully held in different countries. Last year's exposition of the artist in the New Jerusalem Museum near Moscow before the coronavirus pandemic gathered more than 100,000 visitors. In September 2020, Chagall's exhibition opened in Rovigo (Italy).
