About 150 participants gathered the Chinese-Russian Youth Forum on Innovation and Development of the New Great Tea Route, which took place in the Chinese city of Taiyuan and St. Petersburg. The participants discussed issues of industrial cooperation and youth exchanges, Xinhua News reports.

The purpose of the forum was to recall the history of the international trade route, which emerged in the 17th century, and to identify new areas of cooperation between the countries. The forum's participants included young activists, as well as government officials and entrepreneurs from Russia and China.

The participants noted the positive results of trade cooperation between the two countries; this year the trade turnover may increase by almost 20%. The presence of Russian products in the Chinese market is also growing. In particular, the volume of supplied beef increased 26 times over the year.

The conversation may continue within the framework of the project of the China-Russia Youth Entrepreneurial Incubator.
