Year of Humanitarian Cooperation with Russia opened in Egypt

The Year of Russian-Egyptian Humanitarian Cooperation started in Egypt, the website of the Ministry of Culture reports. The first events took place at the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Cairo.

A concert of Russian creative groups was prepared for the guests of the holiday. The organizers, participants and the public were greeted by the deputy head of the department Alla Manilova. She called the first thematic year in the history of relations between the two countries a very important step aimed at deepening cooperation. The program will give Russians and Egyptians a lot of unforgettable impressions, the Deputy Minister of Culture is sure.

The "The Most Beautiful Country" photo exhibition was timed to coincide with the start of the cross year. Its exhibits are the best works of the competition of the same name, which is held by the Russian Geographical Society.

Performers from the Moscow Horn Choir and the Khokhloma Song and Dance Ensemble took the stage. The master of throat singing Chyltys Tannagasheva from Gornaya Shoria also performed.

Anyone could join the public in Cairo. The concert was broadcast live on social networks.
