St. Petersburg to host 6th International Arctic Forum

The Arctic - Territory of Dialogue International Arctic Forum is scheduled for next spring, TASS reports. It will be hosted by St. Petersburg. The Forum will become the sixth in a row.

In the office of the plenipotentiary representative of the head of state in the Far Eastern Federal District, they recalled that from 2021 to 2023 Russia is the chairman of the Arctic Council. For this reason, the forum will be held for two years in a row: in 2022 and 2023. It is organized by the Roscongress Foundation.

During its existence, the International Arctic Forum has become an effective platform for Russian experts to share their achievements with colleagues from abroad, discuss with them important topics of the development of the Arctic territories, the development of ports, and improving the quality of life of people in the Arctic region. The Forum is of particular importance in the implementation of solutions aimed at the development of the Arctic territories. Traditionally, it is a strong additional stimulus for the development of the region's economy and represents a significant event on the international Arctic agenda.
