The Per Aspera Ad Astra project is launched by representatives of the Russian diaspora in Greece, according to the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots in this European country. It was timed to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the space flight of the first cosmonaut of the planet. The anniversary date will be celebrated on April 12.

Pupils, students and adult members of the community are invited to participate in the project. They are asked to answer the question: why do people fly into space? The video with the answer can be sent to the organizers by both Russian compatriots and Greeks.

Applications for participation and videos can be sent to natcir@yandex.com, ginda58@mail.ru, they are accepted until April 7.

Applications are also open for the all-Spanish My Space artistic and educational marathon, timed to coincide with the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight. Participants are invited to send drawings on a space theme, answer questions in the Space Pioneers quiz, which includes questions for Russian and Spanish speakers. The program also includes an essay competition, where participants can talk about outstanding astronauts and scientists and the role that space exploration has played in the life of their family.
