The famous French journalist and writer, the grandson of the legendary detective of pre-revolutionary Russia, Arkady Koshko, will present his new book about the life and work of his grandfather, as well as about Russia in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The meeting with Dmitry Koshko will be held on March 23 online, the organizer will be the Russian House in Paris, according to the website of the World Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots.

French-speaking fans of Russian history and literature will also be able to participate in the meeting; the meeting will be held with simultaneous translation into French. Russian compatriots and Parisians know Dmitry Koshko not only from books and articles, but also from the Days of Russian Book and the Russophonia Prize, in the organization of which he participates.

The book by the grandson of the legendary detective of tsarist Russia contains the stories of investigations by Arkady Koshko, mentioning real historical figures and describing the realities of Russian life in the past and the century before last. Arkady Koshko could have lived the life of a wealthy nobleman, but chose the difficult profession of a detective.

In 1906, he headed the Moscow detective police and in a short time made it one of the best on the planet. During his lifetime he was awarded the nickname "Russian Sherlock Holmes".

The publication describes in detail an important page in pre-revolutionary Russia: the "Beilis case", which played a large role in the history of the events of 1917.
