President of Mexico: Sputnik V proves success of Russian science

The development of Sputnik V vaccine is an absolute proof of the success of Russian science, the President of Mexico Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is sure. He said this during a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, RIA Novosti reports.

During the conversation, the leaders of both countries confirmed their mutual interest in developing ties. Both governments are working to address market access and flagship product promotion issues. In Mexico City, they explained that the country's authorities are in contact with Moscow on political issues.

The Mexican president expressed the hope that 24 million doses of the Russian drug will be delivered to the country within two months. In addition, Lopez Obrador invited Vladimir Putin to visit Mexico.

Two days ago, the President of Mexico announced that he had contracted the coronavirus. According to him, he has mild symptoms of the disease and is receiving treatment.
