On December 26, the international educational project in Ireland "Russian Text: Through the Pages of Culture" will end with a round table discussion dedicated to the Christmas and New Year traditions of Russia and Ireland. The events on the final day will be held online, according to the Nasha Gazeta newspaper.

The organizers will devote a story to Russian Christmas traditions that have existed since pre-revolutionary times, their similarity to and differences from Irish holiday customs. In addition, the participants will discuss which traditions from antiquity are preserved in the two countries today. There will also be presentations of the "Christmas Cards: St. Petersburg - Ireland" photo-art project, and the project participants will perform musical works and poems.

The “Russian Text: Through the Pages of Culture” project in Ireland started in mid-November. Representatives of the leading universities and museums in Russia reported on the development of the Russian language, the history of Russia, Russian artists and other topics.

The organizer of the project was ANO TsDPO - ALFA-DIALOG with the support of the Ministry of Education of Russia. The partners are the Herzen State Pedagogical University, the Association of Russian Language Teachers in Ireland, the International Association of Teachers of the Russian Language and Literature, and the Association of Literature and Russian Language Teachers in Russia.
