Moscow schoolchildren win 7 awards at International Informatics Olympiad

Students of Russian schools have won 5 gold and 2 silver medals at the International Olympiad in Informatics, according to the website of the Mayor of Moscow. 

The Romanian Master of Informatics tournament was held for the 8th time. For the third time in a row, young Muscovites were recognized as the best in the team competition. The current tournament was held online format due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation. The participants represented nearly 12 countries. Russia sent eight teams to the Olympics at once.

Among the winners are Anton Sadovnichy, Timofey Fedoseev, Igor Loginov, Yegor Lifar and Fedor Ushakov. Denis Mustafin and Dmitry Umnov received silver medals.

The Olympics have become the next stage of preparation for major international competitions for the children.
